While the quest to return to the postseason for a second straight season has gotten off to a bumpy start, that’s not to say that the 2025 Kansas City Royals have been devoid of All-Star caliber play, with homegrown talent like Bobby Witt Jr. and Kris Bubic making strong cases to make the AL All-Star team. With that in mind, BetMissouri.com broke down the odds on which Royals players will represent the club in Atlanta at next month’s Mid-Summer Classic, with Witt and Bubic leading the way.

Who Makes MLB ASG From K.C.?

With 3.4 WAR through 67 games played this year, there’s no denying that Witt is as close to a lock as possible for the 2025 MLB All-Star Game, earning him -750 odds of making the squad for the second time in his four-year MLB career.

The other leading candidate to make the exhibition is Bubic, who leads all Royals with 3.5 WAR this season, going 5-3 on the bump with staggering 1.43 ERA in 12 starts this season, striking out 79 hitters across 75.1 innings pitched in 2025.

The sixth year pitcher out of Stanford has never made an ASG before, with his previous career high in WAR being 1.3 in 29 games pitched ruing the 2021 season, showcasing a unique skillset on the mound that should warrant him a spot on the AL roster come mid-July.

Other candidates to make the team from Kansas City include reliever Carlos Estevez, who is listed at +110 after leading all Royals relievers in WAR production (1.3) and posting 19 saves out of the pen for the team in 2025.

Throw in third baseman Maikel Garcia at +225 and you have the full rundown of K.C. players that we see making the trek down to Atlanta for this year’s All-Star Game, with the 25-year-old infielder posting 1.8 WAR with seven home runs and 73 hits through 65 games played this season, potentially opening the door for his first appearance in the leaguewide exhibition.
